The Ukhtomsky museum was opened on March 20, 1990.
A. A. Ukhtomsky (1875-1942) spent in this building his childhood and adolescence. All periods of his life are represented in five exposition halls.
Exposition of this museum tells about a history of Ukhtomskye ancient family.
The interior of drawing-room was reconstructed according to the memories of Aleksey Ukhtomsky about his boyhood. His study in Physiological institute in St. Petersburg was also reconstructed here in one of the rooms. In this museum you can get acquainted with the scientific works of A. A. Ukhtomsky, with principle of dominant and problems of morality and religion.
The Ukhtomsky`s heritage helps him to be one of the most important social thinker of XX century. His house is scientifically-methodical center of mastering of his great heritage.
